Green Papaya Pickles

Papaya- "Fruit Of The Angels", as Christopher Columbus called it, is an excellent source of powerful antioxidants.  Papayas contain papain, an enzyme that is especially concentrated in the fruit when it is green or unripe.  Our Papaya Power Pickles are made of green papayas.

Papaya provides great protection against heart disease.  It is rich in fiber and beta carotene.    Papaya studies have shown that Type I diabetics who consume high fiber diets have lower blood glucose levels while Type II diabetics may have improved blood sugar, lipids, and insulin levels.  Among younger men, diets rich in beta carotene may play a protective role against prostrate and colon cancers.

Papaya promotes digestive health.  It contains protein-digesting enzymes which lower inflammation in cases of asthma, osteoarthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis.  It also promotes healthy skin and hair due to its building and maintenance of collagen properties.
